WireCo WorldGroup Restructures Global Sales Management

WireCo WorldGroup announced a new management structure that will streamline WireCo’s sales management while creating additional focus and support for its key global markets.

Effective immediately, Senior Vice President Miguel Gomez will manage sales efforts for all markets in the Western Hemisphere.  Additionally, Gomez will lead all non-steel rope industry directors including high carbon wire, electromechanical cable and synthetic ropes.  Gomez served as the Commercial Director for Aceros Camesa before its acquisition by WireCo in 2005.  He relocated to the corporate headquarters in 2006 and has led the sales of Camesa wire, wire rope and electromechanical cable since that time.

Wolfgang Oswald will take on a new role as Senior Vice President of Global Sales where he will lead a team of international market directors for wire rope products and maintain sales management responsibility for Europe, Africa and Asia.  Additionally, he will retain his role as Managing Director at CASAR.  Oswald has also led the sales team at CASAR and spent time overseeing Paulsen Wire Rope in the United States.

President and CEO Ira Glazer commented, “Our company continues to lead in the wire rope industry.  Our manufacturing capabilities, global reach, specialized product offerings, service, support and engineering are exceptional.  Now, with our highly trained and specialized sales management team in place, we expect to further enhance our value to the market.”

Along with the streamlined sales management, a team of Global Market Directors has been formed to lead the marketing efforts for key market segments while engaging in business development activities.  Four individuals have been tasked with this new responsibility for their product lines on a global scale.  The new Market Directors are as follows:

John Josendale, Senior Vice President, will take on the role of Oil & Gas Market Director.  With more than 33 years of sales management experience and a deep knowledge of the industry, John will lead all marketing endeavors in this key strategic market with particular focus on the Middle East and the Pacific Rim regions.

After working with the WireCo WorldGroup team for more than six years, Blake Chandler will lead their global mining efforts.  He has become an expert in the surface and underground mining markets around the world and has developed new opportunities throughout Asia for the company.  Prior to joining WireCo WorldGroup, Chandler held international sales responsibility with the leading global manufacturer of fire fighting apparatus in addition to working for an innovative manufacturer of safety products and brings 14 years of international industrial sales experience to the position.

Over the past 14 years, Richard Humiston has built WireCo into a market leader in structures highlighted by successfully assisting bridge contractors and DOTs across the United States and Canada.  Current projects include the construction of the SanFrancisco Bay Bridge and the rehabilitation of the Manhattan Bridge in New York.  He will expand his efforts to pursue structures globally.  He has served in various sales management roles during his career with WireCo since 1986.

Dr. Frank Jauch, joined WireCo WorldGroup in 2010 and is a recognized expert in the OEM sector and crane markets with more than 20 years of experience working in the European wire rope industry.  Jauch holds a Ph.D from the University of Dresden.  He will now lead all global efforts in the crane industry.

“These Market Directors are targeting business growth in our home markets and in our new international markets and we are excited about the direction we are growing,” said Glazer.

In 2010, WireCo WorldGroup opened new sales offices in critical global markets, including Russia, India, Australia, Singapore, Africa, Chile and Brazil.
