WireCo Announces Layoffs, Citing Poor Economy

Screen Shot 2012-11-15 at 10.12.08 PMAs reported in the St. Joseph News-Press, WireCo Worldgroup announced layoffs of 21 employees at its St. Joseph plant, due to a downturn in company business.  David Hornaday, VP of Marketing at WireCo, stated, ”we have seen a slowdown in some markets and are working to correct some inventory imbalances that have resulted.”  Hornaday continues that “once inventories get back in line with sales activities, we hope to bring the plant back to previous production levels.”

WireCo has also recently announced layoffs at its other facilities both domestically and internationally for similar reasons.
