Registration fees for manufacturers, manufacturers’ reps and others attending the National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo, October 19-21, 2011 at the Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, Nevada have been restored to 2010 pricing “in the best interests of the industry”, it was announced today by Expo Management.
“We increased registration fees for non-exhibiting manufacturers and manufacturers’ reps in an effort to discourage “suit casing” by many attendees who have unfairly taken advantage of the Expo and its exhibitors in past years by soliciting business in the Expo aisles and elsewhere during the event. We were simply trying to protect our exhibitors who pay for the privilege of doing business with Expo visitors. It is not uncommon for trade shows to charge much higher registration fees for non-exhibitors, and some exhibitions do not allow non-exhibiting vendors to attend at any price”, informs Susan Hurley, General Manager. “At the request of several fastener industry associations, we have decided to relax the increased registration fees so that non-exhibiting manufacturers and manufacturers’ reps will be able to attend our Las Vegas Expo at the same registration fees as distributors, importers and others. The online registration form has been updated to reflect this change”, continues Ms. Hurley.
“We are making this modification in the best interests of the fastener industry and can only hope that those non-exhibiting manufacturers and reps who have violated our ‘No Suit Casing’ policy in the past will be more respectful of the Expo and our valued exhibitors”, say Jim Bannister and Mike McGuire, General Partners.
