Van Beest Introduces New Version of Sling Program

Van Beest is sponsoring the Sling Design program developed by EngineeringSpreadsheets, which offers a free download on their website. This program is a great tool for engineers.

A new version has been released with a new functionality. It is now also possible to design a lifting chain sling in accordance with EN 818-4.

This program can be used for the design of 4-leg lifting slings in accordance with either:

• DNV Rules for Marine Operations
• DNV Certification note 2.7-1 (offshorecontainers)
• EN13414 SteelWireRopeSlings
• EN 818-4 Chain slings
