3Sun, a specialist provider of hydraulic, control and instrumentation products and services to the international oil and gas sector, based in Yarmouth, UK. and employing 90 people, has recently joined the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA).
LEEA, a leading representative body for all those involved in the lifting industry worldwide, plays key roles for member companies from training and standards setting to health and safety, the provision of technical and legal advice, and the development of examination and licensing systems.
According to the Eastern Daily Press, 3 Sun managing director Graham Hacon, said: “Working within the oil and gas and renewable energy industries it is essential that we have the required accreditation in place and, as a world-renowned industry body, LEEA was a key priority for us.
“With the recent acquisition of a sling press which allows in-house manufacturing of wire rope slings, this membership will continue the group’s developing presence in the lifting industry.”
Mr Hacon said: “3Sun has grown steadily and significantly over its six years in operation and we are always looking for ways to up-skill and train our staff to ensure our clients receive the very highest standard of service.”
