Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today that two of its managers are among the honorees of The Manufacturing Institute’s Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Awards. The STEP Awards honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers, and represent all levels of manufacturing, from the factory floor to the C-suite.
Harsco Industrial Patterson-Kelley Vice President and General Manager Linda Diffley, the first woman to head the business in its 135-year history, will be honored for her leadership of Harsco’s heat transfer products division. Under Ms. Diffley’s leadership, the East Stroudsburg, PA-based business has posted record financial results and developed several innovative products for high-efficiency boilers and touchpad controls.
Corporate Enterprise Security & Preparedness Lead Katherine Chadwick will be honored for her leadership in developing Harsco’s Enterprise Risk Management strategy. Ms. Chadwick built the function, critical to protecting Harsco’s assets around the world, from the ground up.
“Linda and Kate’s talent and leadership have made invaluable contributions to our company,” said Harsco President and CEO Nick Grasberger. “I am pleased to see their achievements recognized, and extend congratulations to them both on behalf of Harsco.”
Diffley and Chadwick will join 128 other honorees at the STEP Awards gala in Washington, D.C. later this week.
