This fully automatic cutting machine is designed for cutting pre-formed wire ropes from Ø 3–30 mm with exceptional efficiency and repeatability. Drawing on nearly 50 years of experience in building automatic cutters, this latest addition is the result of deep engineering expertise and hands-on industry insight.
Designed for performance and efficiency, the LKA 30 PS is perfect for professionals who need repeatable, high-accuracy cuts, with minimal manual input and maximum uptime. A modern control system with a 10” touchscreen makes for intuitive operation, while advanced components such as an automatic brake control and an independent measuring system ensure consistent results. In standard operation, it maintains length accuracy within ±1%. In most cases, results fall within ±0.5%, and repetitive batch cuts can achieve an impressive ±0.25%.

The LKA 30 PS helps improve consistency, reduce la
bor and cycle times, and maintain high safety and quality standards. It is ideal for batch processing and allows the operator to save calibration settings, including applied marking configurations. It is also worth noting its OPC UA connectivity, which supports Industry 4.0 initiatives and IT/OT integration.
Tube sections are supplied in 3 m lengths and can be extended in 3 m increments to a recommended maximum of 15 m. The machine features hydraulic shears designed for ropes up to grade 1960; higher-grade ropes can be cut but may shorten shear life. For system integration, the LKA 30 PS can be paired with the AVL‑5000B uncoiling unit (with pre-breaking; drums up to 5,000 kg) and the ULV 200 coiling unit (drums up to 200 kg).
