Spider, a division of SafeWorks, LLC, located in Seattle, recently added two new sales professionals to its North American team. The company welcomes Dan Fink at its New York operation center as District Sales Representative, and Abel Fernandez as District Sales Representative in Orlando.
In their new roles, Fink and Fernandez will be responsible for solving the suspended access and safety challenges of contractors and facility owners in their respective markets.
Most recently, Fink served as Sales Representative for Kenseal Construction Products Corporation, consistently growing sales volume and meeting profit goals during his five-year tenure. He brings a strong background of sales experience as well as familiarity with the markets Spider serves—from restoration and maintenance, to glazing and waterproofing. Fink holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego.
“Dan is a welcome addition to our New York team,” comments John Sotiroff, Vice President, Spider Sales and Distribution. “His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to building valuable customer relationships will ensure that the contractors and facility owners in this competitive market receive the highest-quality, most trusted suspended access solutions available.”
Fernandez brings over 16 years of access experience to his position. Most recently, he served as Branch Manager for Contractors Access Equipment in Miami, supervising daily project operations and focusing on scaffold safety awareness. Previously, he spent four years as a Service Manager with South Florida Swing Stage, Inc., and eight years between Spider’s Miami and Orlando operation centers, most recently in the role of Service Manager. Fernandez holds Scaffolding & Access Industry Association (SAIA) suspended scaffold certification.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Abel back to the Spider team,” says Sotiroff. “Abel’s familiarity with the access industry and the safety requirements that accompany it will give him an edge in providing contractors and facility owners with the best possible solution for their access challenges. His extensive direct market experience and dedication to customer satisfaction make him an ideal addition to the strong Spider Orlando team.”
Founded in 1947, Spider is the creator of the well-known Spider basket, and is the largest manufacturer and distributor of access and safety solutions, including baskets, traction hoist and platform rental, safety and training, and specialty-engineered products, in North America.
