Spanish rental company Grúas Aguilar has taken delivery of the first 750 tonne Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 in Spain. While the economic situation in Spain remains dire, the company plans to make the new crane available for use on an international basis, by looking for collaboration opportunities with crane rental companies in other parts of Europe or further afield.
Luis Aguilar, general manager of Grúas Aguilar said: “We have three locations in Spain and we are working in Morocco, but our aim is to go abroad to work. We are interested to speak to international rental companies to collaborate in the future. In Spain we have a lot of experience in working with cranes, and Liebherr machines for us have always worked extremely well, with a great deal of reliability. This 750 tonne crane will allow us to expand the number of big lift contracts we carry out.”
Grúas Aguilar is one of the main Spanish crane rental companies, and is based in Arganda del Rey, Madrid. Founded in 1968, It operates a substantial mobile crane fleet with capacities from 30 to 750 tonnes, and crawler cranes from 80 to 1,000 tonnes, as well as running loader cranes up to 150 tonne/meters alongside a substantial fleet of aerial work platforms.
