The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) presented the President’s Award to Ben Forster, Rigging Gear Sales, Inc., Dixon, Ill. , during its 2014 Annual Conference, April 22-26, at the Boca Raton Resort, Boca Raton, Fla. The award recognizes individuals who recruit at least three new members to the Association during the prior calendar year.
“Ben grew up in the industry and has a career-long affiliation with SC&RA,” noted SC&RA Executive Vice President Joel Dandrea. “His parents, Bruce and Bonnie, founded Rigging Gear Sales in 1988, and the company’s SC&RA membership dates back to1995. It’s very gratifying to see our association become larger and stronger because of the recruitment efforts of a long-time, loyal member.”
The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) is an international trade association of more than 1,300 members from 43 nations. Members are involved in specialized transportation, machinery moving and erecting, industrial maintenance, millwrighting and crane and rigging operations, manufacturing and rental. SC&RA helps members run more efficient and safer businesses by monitoring and affecting pending legislation and regulatory policies at the state and national levels; researching and reporting on safety concerns and best business practices; and providing five yearly forums where these and other relevant member issues can be advanced.
