The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) announced the winners of the Fleet Safety Awards in two categories and Fleet Safety Improvement awards during its 2016 Annual Conference, April 26-30, at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Orlando, Fla. The contests are part of SC&RA’s ongoing efforts to recognize member companies that exemplify a commitment to safe driving.
Six SC&RA member companies received a Transportation Mileage Category Award for having the lowest accident frequency rate in different mileage categories in 2015:
Over 100 Million Miles – Landstar Transportation Logistics, Inc., South Jacksonville, Fla.
Over 50 Million Miles – Bennett Motor Express, McDonough, Ga.
5 Million to 20 Million Miles – LeFebvre & Sons, Inc., Elk River, Minn.
1.5 Million to 5 Million Miles – Barnhart, Memphis, Tenn.
501,000 to 1.5 Million Miles – Bragg Companies – Heavy Transport, Long Beach, Calif.
100,000 to 500,000 Miles – Precision Heavy Haul, Inc., Tolleson, Ariz.

Nine SC&RA member companies received a Fleet Safety Award for obtaining an Accident Frequency Rate of less than 0.45 during all of 2015:
