RiConnect Inc. has enhanced the Sandbox component of its cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) offering.

RiConnect is committed to simplifying and digitalizing processes. It is renowned for improving compliance and traceability for equipment management, with ongoing digitalization being a key priority. Sandbox is one of a number of pillars that uphold this technology.

The term ‘Sandbox’ isn’t itself unique; it is a commonly used word in software environments. However, RiConnect has adopted the concept and placed it at the center of its SaaS suite of products.

As it pertains to customers, Sandbox refers to a safe, isolated environment for testing and validation. It is primarily used by partners that want to explore Application Programming Interface (API) integrations, simulate workflows, or conduct internal training — all without affecting production data. A user might be conducting training or testing with RiConnect via the API Key in Sandbox environments or during onboarding exercises.

Enhanced Control

Sandbox supports enhanced control over data access and integration testing, particularly during implementation or trial phases. A typical Sandbox user would be a technical stakeholder — for example, someone from the client’s information technology (IT) team can quickly and painlessly import internal assets into Sandbox, significantly reducing manual work and avoiding potential errors; and an integration partner can conduct internal training seamlessly without affecting real data.

Sandbox offers a dedicated testing environment and integrates seamlessly with RiConnect’s Compliance Management System, upheld by the cornerstones of Compliance, Traceability, Status, and Net Zero. CTSN, as it is better known, has been embraced in all corners of the world, supported by RiConnect’s subsidiaries in the UK and US; and partners located in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Iceland, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan.
