Hat-trick of Prestigious Industry Standards Awarded to Cosalt Offshore’s Aberdeen Staff.
Cosalt Offshore, a provider of lifting, tooling and marine services to the oil and gas industry, is proving its commitment to achieving the highest possible standards by being awarded the third in a hat-trick of prestigious industry standards for its operations in Aberdeen.
OHSAS 18001 is the internationally-recognised assessment awarded to companies who take stringent steps to protect their workforce and actively promote health & safety in the workplace.
The specification for occupational health and safety management systems was developed by a selection of leading trade bodies, international standards and certification bodies to address a gap where no third-party certifiable international standard existed.
Cosalt Offshore already has ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards testifying to the company’s strong environmental performance.

OHSAS promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows organizations to consistently identify and control health and safety risks, reduced the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.
Key areas addressed include training, awareness and competence, consultation and communication, planning for hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control and emergency preparedness and response.
