Petersen Stainless Introduce New Range of 316L Swing-Bolts to DIN444B Pattern

Petersen Stainless has manufactured custom swing-bolts and eye-bolts for plant and process equipment for many years including for industry giants such as Alfa Laval. Petersen withdrew from the market in the face of a flood of low-quality, low-cost imports from the far-east. As process energies have increased and end-users are becoming increasingly safety conscious Petersen has decided to return to the market and has introduced a range of high-strength, high-quality, forged swing-bolts to the popular DIN444B pattern.

Petersen’s unique forging process allows them to manufacture eye-ends with incredibly high strength and fatigue resistance. Because all operations are performed in-house at the factory in Blaydon, England, special eyes can be produced quickly and cost effectively. Eyes can also incorporate custom bend patterns to allow fitting around tanks and can be supplied proof-load tested, serialised and certified.

Three years ago Petersen upgraded their quality system to the fully-traceable aerospace standard AS9100:C. Petersen Stainless Rigging Ltd has been manufacturing forgings for over 100 years but the relatively recent move to formalise its quality system to AS9100:C has opened up new markets for the company.

Petersen Stainless Rigging is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of quality-assured stainless steel rigging and lifting equipment for the petrochemical, lifting, architectural, yachting and aerospace industries.
