Loos and Company recently announced the achievement of AS9100 Rev C Certification for their Cableware® Division. AS9100 is the internationally recognized Quality Management System standard specific to the aerospace, aviation and defense industries. This standard is strongly supported and adhered to by major aerospace OEMs and is increasingly being required by vendors within the supply chain. AS9100 certification reflects Loos and Company’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the increasingly stringent industry requirements for aerospace related products and assures their manufacturing processes consistently meet the requirements and expectations of customers. This certification strengthens Loos Cableware Division’s competitive position and standardizes quality, reliability and safety processes across all of its manufacturing.
This major company milestone could not have been achieved without the commitment and teamwork of the Loos and Co. employees. Closing the gaps between the existing ISO 9001 QMS and AS9100 standards, when they were first identified in August 2015, required extensive procedural upgrades and new documentation to be written in most areas of the business. This challenge was complicated by their existing ISO 9001 – 2008 registration expiring March 5th, 2016. The Loos and Company employees stepped up to the challenges and workied together toward the same goal, their success highlights the company’s focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
In the coming weeks Loos and Company will be receiving their new ISO9001-2008 and AS9100 Rev C certificates. They will be posted on the Loos and Co. website and the new AS9100 logo will begin to appear on business stationary, trade literature, and postings within the company.
