Yorkshire based safety products manufacturer, Tagattach Limited has received an initial order from Orr Safety Corporation headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky USA, who will also distribute the company’s products throughout the US.
Orr Safety Corporation were approached by a rail road client earlier this year looking for products to improve safety when handling heavy loads. Taglines are commonly used by operators and often use lengths of rope which can tangle around arms and legs or fray causing significant injuries and sometimes fatalities. After thorough testing of the Tagattach product in the US, the rail road client has approved the products for use and is expected to begin purchasing them over the coming months.
Now in their 3rd year, Tagattach design and manufacture safety taglines used by construction, offshore, rail and engineering industries, which protect the ground operator from injury when manoeuvring heavy loads by crane.
Tagattach Inventor and Managing Director, Joseph O’Kane said, “Ever since the idea for Tagattach came to me whilst operating a tower crane at Stansted Airport, I knew there was a need to improve the existing technology for taglines which is a length of rope. With Orr Safety Corps reputation built over 65 years and covering all of the US, we are sure the Tagattach brand will gain a firm foothold across a wide range of US industries, in a short space of time.”
Charlie Strickland (Safety Product Manager at Orr Safety Corporation) said: “One of our major clients was looking to improve safety at their depots covering the USA where rope was being used as a tagline. We have now received approval from this client to roll out the retractable units, Tagattach and static units, Grip Rope. We have also had enquiries from industries and clients we have never dealt with previously with orders already placed.”
Tagattach already have their sights set on other global markets such as Singapore and the United Arab Emirates and look to make further announcements soon.
