India is en route to becoming one of the largest markets for tower cranes in the world To satisfy this demand, Liebherr Tower Cranes opened a new plant for tower cranes in Pune in 2012. As a result of the positive response and the massive demand for the 85 EC-B 5i Flat-Top crane, the product range at the plant will continue to be expanded
over the next few years.

To help strengthen ties with Indian customers, open days have been held in 2015 in Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad after similar events had been organised previously in other Indian cities. Liebherr Tower Cranes presented the tower cranes production range, the production plant in Pune, the services of Tower Crane Service and current projects in India and Bangladesh, such as a construction project in Bangladesh where a large industrial building for the clothing industry is being constructed. Crane Service.

A ceremonial handing over of keys also took place during the customer event in Kolkata: KND Engineering Technologies Limited ordered two new Liebherr 85 EC-B 5i Flat-Top cranes. For their first project, the cranes will climb to a height of over 70 m on a building on the BT Road in Kolkata. Several residential blocks are being built there to
meet the growing demand for homes.
