LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) has announced that LiftEx, the only UK trade exhibition dedicated to the overhead lifting sector, is to co-locate with the Safety & Health Expo being staged at ExCel London on June 17th-19th 2014. The move will put LiftEx exhibitors and visitors at the heart of Europe’s leading annual exhibition for the occupational safety and health industry.
Since its launch by LEEA in 2004, LiftEx has become established as a key event for professionals responsible for overhead lifting and working at height. Alongside product and service demonstrations from many of the industry’s leading suppliers, the show also hosts LEEA’s annual Innovation Awards, which recognise outstanding product design and application.
Announcing the new co-location with the Safety & Health Expo for 2014, Geoff Holden, chief executive of LEEA, said: “Overhead lifting remains a significant cause of death and serious injury across a wide range of industries, and LEEA is committed to playing a key role in raising standards. It therefore makes perfect sense to partner LiftEx with the Safety & Health Expo, and give our exhibitors the opportunity to promote solutions for overhead lifting to an audience of over fifteen thousand health and safety professionals.” He added: “LiftEx now attracts around 80 exhibiting companies and hundreds of visitors, and we hope that all these and more will follow us to the Safety & Health Expo. As a result, LiftEx will add even greater value to this well-established date in the health and safety calendar.”
