Konecranes makes another Acquisition

Konecranes has acquired service company Bouyer Manutention (BM) based in Tours, France. BM has 38 employees and net sales of approximately €5m (2009). BM will be consolidated into Konecranes’ books in Q3 2010. The value of the acquisition is not disclosed.

BM is a family company founded in 1988. The company’s competences include mechanical and electrical maintenance and modernization of overhead cranes and machine tools.

“Bouyer Manutention is a valuable addition to the Konecranes Group,” said Jean-Maxime Guhur, director, Konecranes (France) SA. “The company’s large contract base and strong knowledge of and relationship to the nuclear industry further strengthen our position in France.”

Konecranes bought 100% of the shares in BM through the holding company Bouyer GCP.
