Australia based Kennards Lift & Shift, which specialises in the rental and sale of rigging and materials handling equipment, has opened a new branch in Queensland.

The outlet, at Rocklea in Brisbane, fills a gap in the company’s network of branches, making it easier to service all parts of Australia.

Kennards Lift & Shift also has branches in Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

“This gives us a national distribution network, which will be helpful to many of our customers who operate in several states and have been keen for us to expand into Queensland,” said managing director Allen Besseling.

“We provide lifting solutions for a wide variety of markets, and offer a wide range of specialist equipment, much of which was previously difficult to hire in Queensland.

“It includes hydraulic jacks and props, trolleys, skates and pallet trucks, chain blocks and winches, hoists and conveyors, cable hauling equipment, ramps, rigging accessories and general lifting items.”

The Queensland operation is headed up by David Fellows, who has more than 22 years experience in the lifting equipment industry in the UK, including management roles with Lifting Gear Hire and Speedy Lifting.

“Someone with that sort of experience doesn’t come along every day, and we are very excited about David joining us and taking this branch forward,” Allen Besseling said.

“David and his team can provide the right advice, as well as the right equipment for all sorts of jobs.”
