Honeywell Advanced Fibers and Composites announced a price increase of 5 percent over the current price of Spectra® fiber, effective with shipments Jan. 1, 2015, or as contracts allow.
This increase covers all S-900 and S-1000 Spectra fiber materials for industrial and recreational applications, such as rope, cut-resistant garments and fishing line.
The company re-evaluated its pricing on Spectra fiber products due to increasing costs in day-to-day operations.
Honeywell Advanced Fibers and Composites, a part of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies, produces Spectra fiber, an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber. For more information, visit http://www.honeywell-spectra.com/.
