Haskell, a leading provider of client-focused solutions in the AEC industry, was recently named one of Florida’s Best Companies To Work For through a Florida Trend program which identifies and recognizes companies that have been successful in creating and maintaining workplace excellence.
“The honor of being named a “Best Company to Work For in Florida” reflects our people-centric culture and a work environment that embraces TEAM, EXCELLENCE, SERVICE and TRUST – our core values,” said David Thaeler, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “Haskell’s team members are our most valuable asset and they work together utilizing innovation, customer service and collaboration to create essential solutions for our clients. Having an engaged and happy workforce has been key to the company’s success and it is our responsibility to listen to employees and give them the opportunity to share their ideas on making our workplace the best it can be.”
To participate, companies or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and have been in operation at least one year. Companies that chose to participate underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the registration, survey and analysis and determined the final rankings.
“Our Best Companies To Work For coverage always seeks to offer lessons for companies that aspire to create a Best-Company workplace,” says Mark Howard, Florida Trend executive editor. “We asked the HR professionals for their perspectives on what makes their company a great place to work. We also asked them about their challenges and their specific roles in creating a great workplace.”
The Best Companies To Work For In Florida program was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council. The annual Best Companies list appears in the August issue of Florida Trend magazine. One-hundred companies are ranked in small, medium and large employer categories.
