Harrington Hoists, Inc. has introduced their new AS Series air hoists with stainless steel components.  The AS series hoists are available in ¼ and ½ Ton capacities in pendant, cord or twist rod control. Spark resistant stainless steel components include: load chain, top and bottom hooks, hook latches and hardware making them suitable for many hazardous conditions.    

These hoists are certified spark resistant (*explosive atmospheres that require features that reduce the risk of spark) to ATEX level (Ex) II 2GD c T5 IIC T100°. The EU ATEX Directive is a stringent European safety standard for spark resistant compliance in industrial hoists. Harrington recommends that users contact a qualified person to determine ATEX requirements for specific applications. 

Standard features on the AS series air hoists include a patented heavy-duty disc brake, reliable vane motor, bearing supported planetary gearing system, upper / lower limit switches and a lightweight, compact cast aluminum body.
