Halo Offshore Equipment Rental LLC, a sister company to Halo LLC, is opening a new facility in Houma, Louisiana. Opening in Houma will allow Halo Offshore Equipment Rental, Halo Inspection Services, and Halo to more efficiently service their customers, provide faster turnaround, and expand manufacturing capabilities. The new location features dockside access, a spacious warehouse, and an open area to build multi-part “Life Twist” slings used for heavy-lifting in the Gulf of Mexico. While the headquarters for all three companies will remain in New Orleans, operations for Halo Offshore Equipment Rental and Halo Inspection Services will be based out of Houma.
The new Houma, LA facility provides increased manufacturing capabilities allowing Halo Offshore Equipment Rental to begin offering “LifeBar” engineered lift systems for rent or purchase. At the heart of the system is the LifeBar, a modular spreader bar, which is designed to improve quality, reduce costs, and provide the versatility demanded by the offshore industry. From inception the lift system is engineered to keep Life First. Each component meets or exceeds industry lifting standards, and is 100% proof loaded in a way that replicates in-service use. In addition to standard safety procedures, each component of the LifeBar lift system is RFID equipped, and certificates of testing and inspection are kept online, available 24/7 for compliance visibility. The capacity range of the LifeBar lift system is virtually limitless due to the massive sling fabrication capabilities provided by Halo. Ken Ragusa, President and Owner of Halo’s three companies, commented, “This new expansion of our support-bases and product lineup broaden the range of our abilities to meet the demands of our customers; and as with everything else we do, our mission in this venture is always to keep LIFE FIRST.” For more information on “LifeBar” engineered lift systems or the new Houma facility, contact Joe McCoy, jmccoy@haloequipment.com, 985-637-0665.
