The Cordage Institute is thrilled to announce that Fran Hoffman with Miami Cordage / Florida Wire & Rigging Works has been elected as the new President of the Cordage Institute!
Fran was first elected to the Cordage Institute’s Board of Directors in 2021. She served as Vice President from 2024 to 2026 and chairs the Communications Committee.
Since joining Miami Cordage in 2010, Fran has held a variety of leadership roles before becoming the company’s CEO. Miami Cordage, including its Florida Wire & Rigging Works division, is a fourth-generation, family-owned American manufacturer specializing in fiber rope manufacturing, wire rope rigging, and custom fabrication. Drawing on decades of manufacturing experience and the craftsmanship of its talented splicing and fabrication team, the company provides custom rope and rigging solutions for the commercial marine, government, industrial, and recreational marine markets.
