Flow in Motion Continues Expansion with New Reps for Florida and Carolinas

Fort Worth, Texas-based crane component specialist Flow in Motion LLC has welcomed two new regional representatives in Florida and the Carolinas as its expansion across North America continues.

Founded in 2012 Flow in Motion provides a range of components from industry leading manufacturers, including operator seats and cabs; high quality squirrel cage AC motors; severe duty air conditioners for severe environments; trolley hoists; and end trucks, the majority of which are custom solutions. German motor manufacturer Woelfer Motoren and operator cab specialist Merford Cabins, of Holland, are major sales partners.

Approaching a target of 15 regional representatives, Flow in Motion has recently added Steve Mikkleson and the John Hutson Company to the network. Florida-based Mikkleson is an expert in crane components and currently provides accessories and conductor systems for lifting installations. He graduated from Auburn University in 1984 with a Business & Economics major and started his business in 1990 specializing in ports, energy, paper and steel industries.

The John Hutson Company, which will oversee business in the Carolinas, is based in King’s Mountain, near Charlotte, N.C. and has a branch in Raleigh, N.C. Mike Hutson represents the second generation in the business and his son Scott the third generation. John Hutson Company’s core business involves the sale of crane magnets, reels and controls.

Flow in Motion president Richard Warriner said: “I am delighted to welcome two new regional representatives. Both have been selected based on a compatible philosophy of providing solutions to customer needs, relationships with customers in key industries as well as their understanding and expertise about cranes and related accessories.”

Warriner’s short-term goal is to expand the company’s presence in the market through wider representation throughout North America. The business has a growing footprint in Eastern Canada and the eastern states.

Warriner is bifocal in his marketing approach in that he wants to increase the level of business from existing customers in ports, steel production, shipyards and other heavy duty overhead crane applications, in addition to exploring new avenues of opportunity.

He said: “We want to capitalize on existing customers who have experienced the benefits of our seats and cabs in ports and steel mills. We also seek new customers for the cabs in applications such as woodyard cranes. Where our motors have been employed by control manufacturers, we are targeting OEM accounts specializing in demanding applications. In all cases it is an ongoing educational process of outlining how higher initial investment leads to long-term economic benefits.”
