Early March at CONEXPO 2014, Samson along with Manitowoc unveiled the new KZ™ 100, the first synthetic hoist rope designed specifically for mobile cranes.
KZ™ 100 is a synthetic rope for mobile cranes made from a combination of high-performance fibers. It offers a number of benefits over the wire rope it replaces. It is 80% lighter at similar strengths and its braided, torque-neutral construction significantly reduces load spin. KZ™ 100 is durable in bend fatigue and has robust spooling capabilities.
Since KZ™ 100′s debut, many questions have been raised and to help answer those questions, Samson has recently released a FAQ sheet on their website. Click here to go directly to KZ™100 Frequently Asked Questions.
