ELM announces the release of a new biobased aluminum complex wire rope grease that is Vessel General Permit (VGP)- compliant. According to Dr. Lou Honary, ELM President, “… the bio-based content is over 80%, and meets USDA biobased biopreferred labeling requirements. It is also readily biodegradable and non-toxic.” The ELM biobased wire rope grease comes in NLGI grades 0 and 1 and offers superior adhesion and resistance to water washout.
“This product is derived from our Aluminum Complex Food Grade Greases that are NSF registered. They offer superior adhesion while meeting national and international standards for biodegradability and toxicity” according to Scott Jones, ELM Vice President. “They offer superior performance while being biodegradable and non-toxic. This reduces harmful effects when discharged into the environment.
