CREWTEK, an 8-week accelerator program designed to prepare students for entry level load handling positions, announces that it has opened a new campus location in Houston and is now enrolling students in Texas. Classes for the Crane & Rigging Trainee program begin May 28th.
“CREWTEK equips students with the skills and confidence they need for a successful transition into the workforce. In addition to job training, we facilitate partnerships between our employment network and skilled individuals, ready to carve out fulfilling careers in the trades,” said Jonathan Daniels, Interim Campus Director. “Our graduates are prepared for entry-level employment or formal apprenticeships in construction, machinery moving, manufacturing, heavy industry, and logistics,” he said.
Employers are often restricted by their own staffing constraints to mentor new hires through the basic skills development process. CREWTEK graduates are ready to work on Day 1, with 12 Certifications and Qualifications and hands-on practice working around heavy equipment.
CREWTEK teaches more than just technical skills. The unique approach also supports development of character, communication, teamwork, and other life skills. Applicants are accepted only after an interview process to identify those with drive and motivation. “Employers tell us over and over again that among the most important hiring criteria are a desire to learn and a willingness to work,” said Daniels.
CREWTEK matches students with prospective employers seeking to fill their labor pipeline. Industrial Training International, Barnhart Crane & Rigging, The Prolift Rigging Company, and other contractors, manufacturers, and crane rental companies are among CREWTEK’s Career Partners.
