Crane Rental Corporation continues to invest in its Heavy Haul division. The company recently ordered three new Peterbilt four-axle heavy haul tractors with sleepers. All the units are equipped with 550 HP Cummins engines, 18-speed transmissions, 46,000-pound rear ends and lift axles. The heavy haul units will be delivered in Q4 2014 and go to work immediately moving loads around the country.
The trucks mark a steady increase in Crane Rental’s fleet overall, as the company has purchased several new cranes over the last 12 months including a Peiner SK415 electric tower crane, Manitowoc 16000 440-ton capacity crawler crane, Manitowoc 18000 660-ton capacity crawler crane, Terex AC 500-2 600-ton capacity all-terrain hydraulic truck crane, and Grove GMK 5275 275-ton capacity all-terrain hydraulic truck crane. Within that time period the company has also added an innovative high-capacity telescoping-axle Trail King dual-lane transport trailer with suspension beams, perimeter deck, dollies, and bolster options.
“We are seeing increasing demand for our heavy haul services,” Crane Rental Corporation president Alan Ashlock said. “We are investing in new equipment to continue providing excellent service to our customers nationwide.”
