Cosalt, the leading provider of critical safety equipment and services to the marine, offshore and industrial markets, is relocating its Head Office to modern new premises on a green field site. The new offices are on the western outskirts of Grimsby on the town’s prestigious Europarc development at Origin 4, Genesis Park, Origin Way, Grimsby, DN37 9TZ.
With the lease on Cosalt’s current building on Fish Dock Road coming to end, the company decided it was an ideal opportunity to move into an open plan office environment that better suited the operations of a modern business. Europarc offers high quality, yet cost-effective accommodation, within attractive landscaped grounds with easy access to Europe through the Humber ports and excellent road links to all parts of the UK.
The relocation does mean that for the first time in the company’s 130-year history Cosalt’s Head Office will be sited away from Grimsby Docks but the company’s commitment to Grimsby and historical links with the town remain as strong as ever. Cosalt’s local branch and liferaft service station on Wickham Road, which serves the commercial shipping, fishing and industrial lifting markets in the area, is unaffected by the move.
Explained Mark Lejman, Chief Executive of Cosalt: “We are looking forward to moving into our new premises. While the old building has served us well for many years it no longer meets the needs of a growing international business. It is important that our offices reflect a more collaborative working style where it is easy for people share information and work together in an open plan arrangement. Origin 4 provides everyone with a better working space and easier road access. It will help us run the business more efficiently.”
The Origin 4 development is located just a few miles from Grimsby Docks. Designed on two floors, it incorporates a number of environmentally friendly features for improving the building’s performance, including rainwater harvesting and roof top solar water heating panels. The offices will provide Cosalt with the space and flexibility it requires to grow its business while keeping running costs to a minimum. Initially it will house approximately 45 staff.
Cosalt’s European-wide business network currently spans 25 separate locations. Nineteen of these bases are fully approved liferaft and lifejacket services stations. The company is also one of the UK’s leading providers of protective clothing and equipment to the emergency services, military, transport and construction industries.
