Cortland, a leading provider of international high performance rope, slings, cables and umbilicals, has hired Rob Arends as European Rope Sales Manager. Arends’ will be based in the Netherlands and will focus his efforts on the European market. Cortland has been experiencing rapid growth worldwide and wanted to take advantage of the opportunities in Europe.

Arends is an industry veteran with many years of international experience in HMPE heavy lift slings and grommets, mooring assemblies, and synthetic (HMPE) ropes. For the past six years he was Sales Manager for Endenburg b.v. in Gouda. During his tenure, he helped to develop trust in HMPE rope, grommets, and slings and showed the offshore, towing, and heavy lift markets the various possibilities with HMPE. Prior to Endenburg, Arends spent 4 years with ABUS Kraansystemen b.v. in various sales management roles.
