Coordinated Wire Rope and Rigging introduces their new Maximizer Braided Chain Sling. The “Maximizer” was specially created for port container terminals. As Bo Kentner, Operations Manager for Coordinated, explains “There was a great deal of frustration with the new Port container cranes being 100 long ton capacity and there was a need to be able to meet that capacity with two chain braid slings without making them a back breaker. We were able to develop special high strength paddles with 100 Grade chain that would be light enough for two individuals to manage as well as strong enough to handle the weight.”
The Maximizer Braided Chain Sling is proof tested and certified to 50 long tons in a vertical basket with special T-1 custom paddles. The sling is made up of 3/8” 7 part grade 100 alloy chain and connecting, customized links are also available.
