Columbus McKinnon is pleased to announce the official launch of our Lodestar Electric Chain Hoist with exciting new features to meet the needs of markets around the world.  Manufactured at Virginia Hoist Operations, this Lodestar contains all of the features that have made it the premier hoist in its field for decades, but it now includes:

• Five pocket liftwheel for improved chain wear and smooth lifting
• Clutch outside the gear train to meet all international standards
• Precision helical gearing for quieter operation
• Redesigned control panel for easier access and fuse installation.

The new Lodestar was recently showcased at the Pro Light and Sound Expo, and the reviews from the audience were overwhelming.  Additionally, a new catalog was introduced, highlighting all of the key components of the Lodestar.

Initial requests for the updated Lodestar have been brisk, and a similar version for industrial markets will be launched this summer.
