Cleveland City Forge has partnered with some of the most notable companies around the world for 150 years. Over this time, the company has had the privilege to manufacture standard and custom forged steel structural hardware for various projects that have shaped our communities and strengthened our nation’s infrastructure.
Founded in 1864, Cleveland City Forge’s structural hardware was used to support the Lake Erie marine industry. Since, they have evolved to coordinate on projects with Construction, Architectural, Energy, Rigging & Lifting and Industrial markets, just to name a few.
The industries that the business serves require a quality commitment. Quality has always been the driving force. Recognizing this in the early 1950’s, ASTM coordinated with Cleveland City Forge to develop industry wide quality standards for the Clevis and Turnbuckle product line. Those standards still remain in place today. To maintain these close controls, Cleveland City Forge’s products are domestically manufactured in their own facilities.
Today, their extensive manufacturing capabilities allow them to produce forged and machined steel parts that weigh less than 1 pound to 250 pounds. Their in-stock product line consists Clevises, Pins, Turnbuckles, Eye Nuts, Eye Bolts, Swage Sockets, Yokes, Threaded Rods, Rod Ends and complete assemblies. In addition, Cleveland City Forge has the capability to manufacture custom parts from design to production. All our products can be produced in Carbon, Stainless, S182 F11 and S182 F22 materials.
In a press release, Cleveland City Forge was quoted, “Working together with our employees, customers, industry partners and communities we look forward to a future that is strong and vital as it was in 1864 when we started.”
Now that’s a Sesquicentennial worth celebrating!
