The genesis of how Bubba Rope started is one of necessity.
“The company won a contract to supply slings so U.S. military helicopters could deliver supply pallets for operations in Iraq. But when such operations ended, the company found itself with a large supply of double-braided nylon rope and needed a way to use it. Bubba Rope is produced by dipping the double-braided nylon rope into a polymer base to produce a coating that extends longevity by protecting the rope from water, deterioration from exposure to ultraviolet (sun) light, and even abrasion from dirt or debris that gets into the braids of untreated rope. Each end of the rope is professionally spliced into an eye loop.”
