The company is part of the Brugg North America organization. Brugg Pipesystems will share space in the Brugg Wire Rope building, the old Peanut Factory, off US 27 South in Rome.
“These pipe products are primarily made of stainless steel, they are flexible and used in fuel and hazardous chemical applications,” said Urs Maire with Brugg. “Gas stations, marinas and generator type applications.”
The product, which is manufactured at a plant Wunstorf, near Hanover in northern Germany, will be marketed across the entire United States.
Kelly Crellin will serve as president of the new Brugg subsidiary and will be introduced to the Rome business community at a Partners in Prosperity breakfast later this week.
“Initially we’ll utilize shared labor with Brugg Wire Rope,” said Maire. “Until we come to the point that the volume is so big that we’ll have to add people.”
