Boise Rigging Supply has been in business since 1968 and is Southern Idaho’s largest source for electric hoists, rigging and safety equipment and overhead hoist inspections and repairs. They specialize in U.S.-made rigging supplies such as chain and wire rope products and hoists. According to MagicValley.com, they recently opened their second location inTwin Falls, ID, on Oct. 1.
The feature explains that Brent Black, general manger of Boise Rigging Supply’s Twin Falls branch, said customers can find basically everything that is used to lift or secure a load inside the store. Boise Rigging Supply was formed by Jim and Betty Black — Brent’s grandparents — in 1968 in Boise. The company is now owned by Brent’s uncle Scott Black. Brent said it’s a move he’s been wanting to make for years.
“I have encouraged the company to come to Twin Falls for several years because of the existing customer base and because Twin Falls is growing so much,” Brent said. “I would consider this a smaller town and you would think you would know everyone, but every day I am meeting new customers and establishing new relationships.”
The Twin Falls branch predominately does resale from the Boise home base, though they do currently assemble chain slings in the backroom warehouse. Boise Rigging Supply also serves customers in Nevada, Oregon and Wyoming. Read the full article here.
