Mazzella Companies recently announced Bill Franz (Mazzella Companies, Vice President of Marketing) as the next President of the Associated Wire Rope Fabricators (AWRF). Bill has served on various boards and committee positions over the years with AWRF.  Bill is the third AWRF President that has come from Mazzella Companies. Tony Mazzella and Jim Mazzella are former AWRF Presidents. Mazzella Companies is the only company that has had three AWRF Presidents. Craig Hayward was also a former AWRF President before the Indusco acquisition.

AWRF was formed in 1975 and incorporated the following year by a group of concerned businessmen who felt there was a need for sling fabricators and special rigging components manufacturers to join together to form a trade association. Originally created by representatives from nine companies in the United States, the organization grew to address the needs of over 400 member companies worldwide in two decades.

Mazzella has been a member of AWRF since 1977.
