The expansion of products and services offered by Bigge Group continue to grow with the addition of construction hoists to its tower crane operations. Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. now offers the market-leading Alimak Scando 650 FC frequency control hoists, which feature soft start/stop for smoother operations and reduced energy consumption on-site.
The hoists will be offered for sale or rent alongside Bigge’s tower and mobile cranes, establishing a one-stop shop for all contractors’ lifting needs nationwide.
West Coast customers gain from the additional benefits of Bigge’s full erection, maintenance and dismantle service. Teams of professional engineers, project managers and estimators are available to assist in all phases of design and delivery.
The Scando 650 is available in single or double-car configuration, offering payloads for construction materials or personnel of 1500kg to 3200kg (3300-lbs to 7,050-lbs).

Bigge announced the establishment of its tower crane division in 2007, with the full range of Terex-Comedil luffing jib and flat-top and Terex-Peiner hammerhead cranes for sale or rent.
This year Bigge has further developed its rental fleet with the addition of Potain MR 405 and MR 605 luffing jib models. A bare rental service is offered from nine locations nationwide. As with the new construction hoist business, West Coast customers are offered full turnkey services, including site planning, erection/dismantling, operating and maintenance by factory-trained professionals working out of five service branches.
Bigge has also expanded its inventory of tower crane spare parts for all Terex-Comedil and Terex-Peiner tower crane models.
