Congratulations to Assembly Specialty Products, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio on being a Weatherhead 100 winner. The Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management is honored to recognize ASPI as one of the fastest growing businesses in Northeast Ohio.

Assembly Specialty Products is a leader in the design and manufacture of wire rope fittings and custom fabricated assemblies for aerospace, military, construction, crane and hoist industries since 1971.  ASPI President, Attila Nagy, commented on receiving the award, “The achievement is a testament to hard work, commitment, and the dream to succeed.  Don’t be afraid to invest in your staff and equipment. Early on we committed to a comprehensive ERP system and upgraded to the latest computer controlled machining centers.”  Attily continued to say, “Complimented with a highly trained staff, ASPI can efficiently meet demanding production schedules with superior quality and profitability. In addition to producing standard wire rope components and OEM parts, we find that there are rigging and wire rope fab shops that are unable to design and manufacture specialty fittings and assemblies, causing them to pass up profitable sales opportunities. We consider ourselves the manufacturer’s manufacturer. If it gets swaged onto a wire rope, we can make it.”

The Weatherhead 100 was crafted in 1987 when Managing Partner of Morganthaler Partners, Bob Pavey,  first noted that Northeast Ohio needed a venue to properly acknowledge, support and praise companies that were the fastest growing in the region. Pavey suggested that Enterprise Development, Inc., the former not-for-profit subsidiary of Case Western Reserve University, not only identify, but bestow a genuine sense of honor upon the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio.

Since 2004, the Weatherhead 100 is compiled and managed by the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE).
